Guitarist/vocalist Robb Flynn of San Francisco Bay Area group MACHINE HEAD suffered a severe invasion of personal property yesterday, September 7th, as thieves broke into his home between 1:15pm and 3:15pm PST. Flynn and his family were not present during the invasion, and many priceless items were stolen from his home. These items include the guitar that Flynn recorded MACHINE HEAD's first album, Burn My Eyes, with, a gifted guitar from late PANTERA guitarist Dimebag Darrell (pictured above), and Flynn’s son Zander’s mini Flying V; a gift he received from his family for Christmas. Other items stolen include Flynn’s wife’s jewelry, laptops, wakeboards, and cash.

All genres of metal will be represented hailing from all corners of the Bay Area. This festival covers a wide range of Bay Area Metal sounds.

Blood Of The Nations, the comeback album by Germany’s legendary metal band ACCEPT, just entered the German album charts at #4!  This marks the highest German chart entry ever in the band’s career and beats the #5 position of 1986’s Russian Roulette.
 
ACCEPT guitarist Wolf Hoffmann shares his thoughts on the news:  
“This really swept us off our feet!  Of course, you dream about being on top of the charts, but this was pretty much out of the question.  We tested new waters with our new singer Mark [Tornillo, ex-TT Quick] and emerged as winners!  But even more than that, this is the reward for our unique collaboration with our label Nuclear Blast, Brainstorm Music Marketing, and all the others who gave their everything for ACCEPT.  But most of all, we want to thank our fans without whom we would be nothing!  THANK YOU!”
 

Toronto’s thrash band MASTERY is no longer an instrumental act, as the band has officially announced the addition of metal legend Billy Milano (S.O.D/ M.O.D.) as the group's new frontman. A new bass player has also been introduced, Tim "Tank" Casterline (M.O.D. touring bassist) joins Mastery as a much needed aspect of  growth to their music. The band is still looking to fill the position of lead guitar, anyone interested can contact the band through their MySpace page.
