Lyon Entertainment Presents: The Your Music Magazine Sacramento Band Olympicks!
The Sacramento Preliminary “Live Performance” event of the Your Music Olympicks began on Friday, November 20th and will run up to the March 19th Finals @ The Boardwalk. Local Sacramento bands will be competing for over $5000.00 in cash and prizes from Your Music Magazine and our Sponsors.

Sacramento Your Music Magazine Band Olympicks Finals
Friday 3/19/10 @ THE BOARDWALK
After the upcoming last preliminary show on 3.6 @ Old Ironsides the top 7 will move on to the YOUR MUSIC OLYMPICKS FINALS FRIDAY 3/19/2010 @ THE BOARDWALK! The top 3 bands will split a $5,000 PRIZE PACKAGE.

This is the ever-popular “Guitar Shred Off” held at Old Ironsides Saturday February 6th 2010. In addition GREY ATLAS, SOUR DIESEL, & THEGRUMPY competed in the “Live Performance” Event.
Each guitarist will perform a 3-minute solo, answer 3 questions then play 30 seconds of rhythms to show diversity. This is a judged event and each guitarist will be judged individually with a points system. 3 judges will award up to 10 points in 5 categories-Skill, Creativity, Stage Presence, Audience Response, and Courage. The Gold winner will receive an Epiphone guitar, half page black and white ad in Your Music Magazine for their band as well as 3 points toward their “Live Performance” vote totals. The silver winner will receive a half page black and white ad in Your Music Magazine and 2 points toward their “Live Performance” vote totals, Bronze gets 1 point. This could possibly help your band jockey for a better position in the Final top 7 bands.
